Help Make a Difference

Prayer

Please take an hour out of your week to pray for the country of Rwanda, the one million orphans of Rwanda, Mizero Children of Rwanda, and the greater world-wide Body of Christ.  Please specifically ask that we would be unified in accomplishing the mission of bringing a Christian testimony of hope and reconciliation through Rwandan music and dance to the children of Rwanda and the churches of the United States.

Time

We have many volunteer positions where you can contribute your gifts of time and talents to helping the Mizero Children of Rwanda accomplish its mission.  Current specific needs include the following: venues and families to host the children; grant-writers; accountants; corporate sponsors; legal consulting; and administrative tasks.  Please fill out this form and tell us how you would like to contribute.

Financially

You are welcome to partner with us financially.  Mizero Children of Rwanda is an auxiliary 501(c)3 non-profit public charity out of Emmaus Anglican Church in Maryland USA.  All donations are tax deductible and will go to accomplishing our mission and to support the orphans of Rwanda.  All donors will receive a tax receipt as well as a financial stewardship report from our organization. Our Mission

Why Hope for Rwanda?

15% of children are orphans because of the genocide.
2% of the population are HIV orphans because of the genocide.
250,000 women were raped during the genocide.
The life expectancy of a Rwandan is 39 years.
85% of the Rwandan population lives on less than $2 a day

Spreading:

* The Gospel message of hope, peace, and healing through music and dance.

Bringing:

* Hope to the homeless, the orphans, those with HIV/Aids, and others by providing shelter, nourishment, and education.
* The Mizero Troupe annually to tour in various countries outside Rwanda.
* Awareness of Rwanda’s beautiful traditions to the world.

Building:

* Self-sustaining communities through our future Arts Academy in Kigali, Rwanda, which will provide them with a well-rounded, Christ-centered education including both academics and cultural traditions.
* Unity between various churches and humanitarian aid groups already in Rwanda.

Hope

* But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you.  Psalm 33:18-22
